Thursday Night Lights...

Yep, it was Thursday, and of course I was at the Freshman football game to watch Maddie cheer. I sat through 1 1/2 games - it seemed to go on and on forever. Maddie of course did a great job cheering! I know I have said it before- but the best part was RyRy got the run of the place and wasn't harassing me!

Sachel spent the evening talking to Cody. They are just 'friends', but they used to go out, and well she was looking at him with some serious goo-goo eyes. Yuck! It was great fun messing with Chewie though. He is not real happy with them being 'friends'. They were sitting behind us in the stands, and I would tell him they were making out and crack up laughing watching him freak out as he turned around. Then they disappeared, and he went looking for them. It was greatness.

Bertha apparently spent the evening digging in the dirt and proudly showed off her treasures. Gross - I don't do dirt, ever!

Tribute to Mom...

It was made very clear that I have neglected my poor dear mother here at my blog. Now, this was never done intentionally! I usually talk about the day to day things that go on around here, and well my poor dear mother doesn't enjoy leaving her house much! LOL! Nothing wrong with that unless you have the weird dog that she has.......just kidding. So I 'threatened' to post every picture I have of her here. My mother taught me to always follow through with promises, and threats! LOL! Here are a few that were on my computer - I didn't go digging on other disks to find any.
I do happen to know that she will be leaving th house in about 3 weeks to go to a cheer comp, and I am sure there will be photographic proof!

Cheer Mania

Last Sunday the ROHS cheerleaders had a cheer clinic for younger girls which they call 'Cheer Mania'. Sachel was in charge since she is varsity co-captain, and Maddie was part of it since she is freshman co-captain. RyRy was so excited to go. They teach the girls cheers, what to do at a football game, the fight song cheer, and best of all the girls get to cheer at the next Friday night home game for the 1st quarter. RyRy had the best time! She knows a lot of the cheerleaders so that made it even better.
The first picture is with Taylor who RyRy adores. Taylor was her coach at the cheer gym. She is fabulous with kids. The second is Maddie!
The third picture is Satchel leading everyone in a cheer, and the last is Sachel, Maddie, & RyRy.
I asked RyRy after it was over if she liked learning all the stuff, and if she would want to cheer for football and she said absolutely. I better start saving now - competitive & school cheer will kill me! LOL! I will be back later with pics of her cheering at the game!

Gavin William...

Pooper's baby boy is here! Gavin William was born at 5:21 pm. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and was 20 inches long. He is super cute!!!! Obviously he has to look like his mother! LOL! Rylee and I arrived right after he was born - good timing if you ask me! Here is the bag of goodies that we showed up with...I love the onsie that says 'chicks dig me'.

Now the first pics of my newest nephew (shout out to anybody related to me - girls are good....we need more girls in our family). First is grandpa Paul with Gavin, then Pooper with his baby boy.

Hannah is a total rockstar......how good does she look after having a baby? I am so jealous - heck I passed out after I had RyRy.

Football Chronicles Part IV...

This one was quite a haul....all the way past Tyler. Let me tell you that I am a dedicated cousin to drag myself all the way down there to watch Grady & Sachel. During the 2 hour drive Maddie french braided RyRy's hair, and then put her face on. She looked really cute!

So we pulled into the parking lot right as the game was starting. Seriously - it was a close call.

So my pictures are not that great - heck I can barely pick out which one Grady is. It was not their best game - but Grady played decent. Jordan was a BEAST on defense! RyRy had one of her favorite things.....a pickle. I swear her stomach has to be one of the sourest places ever. I don't even know how she puts away so much sour food. It was a very long night since the Hawks lost and we had a 2 hour drive home. We didn't get home until 1:00 in the morning. Heck I didn't even get to sleep until around 2:00 am. Good thing Mere cancelled on me for Saturday am and I didn't have to drag my but out of bed early to work out. I was TIRED!!!! So here are a few more picks from the night.

Grady is a victim of Shannon Syndrome - he doesn't believe in smiling for pictures. Maddie however is always smiling. She is so beautiful!!!!

This is what happens after every game. The adults crowd around Grady, say good game or what the heck happened with such and such play. And my daughter attempts to amaze the crowd with her tumbling tricks.

Fishing Stories....

So it has been a while since I have posted anything about my Jake Jake & Mikey....so thought I would share some recent adventures. They got to go fishing....and no Twig did not take them. Are you kidding? We are not sporty girls. I have not been fishing since I was a kid. I have caught a fish - which my mother kindly froze for me. But sadly I was banned from fishing trips very early on because of my afflication. You know - too much talking. Whatever! Seriously....who sits there for hours on end without talking? Craziness. Anyway.....here are pics of the boys.

It is so beautiful where they live in Washington. I love the trees behind the lake.****The pictures are not that clear....probably because they were sent from Twig's Crackberry!

Tumbling Accomplishment..

So RyRy has been working really hard on her tumbling. She recently perfected a one handed cartwheel. This is really impressive. She worked and worked and worked on getting it straight. She was really serious about it because she was CONVINCED that once Coach Jackie got a glimpse of her amazing one handed cartwheel she was going to be begging RyRy to add it to the routine for this year's comps.
Pissed is not even a strong enough word for what RyRy was when she got home from practice. She was not real happy about Coach Jackie's nice job comment after she showed off her new tumbling skill. RyRy was even less impressed that it wasn't immediately added to the routine. It was pretty funny if you ask me. We are proud though........now if she can just master the back walkover and the handspring she will be ready for the next level.

Founder's Day Cancelled....

Okay, last Saturday RyRy was scheduled to be in the Red Oak Founder's Day parade with the cheer gym. Yeah- we get to rise early on a Saturday morning. I was planning on taking lot's of pics to share with you. But, after Shannon, RyRy, and I got up at the crack of raining dawn and got ready....I got the text. It said - no parade. Yeah, it's raining, we are up super early, dressed, with nowhere to go. The joy! This is what happens when you leave 2 girlie girls alone, bored with a camera at the sporting goods store:
Not nearly as much fun as the parade, fresh squeezed lemonade, roasted corn, and all the other good stuff at founder's day. Then later as Shannon helped Chewie install the GPS on the boat so they could go fishing.....

I Know You Are Waiting For It.....Football Update

So last Friday night was the Red Oak Homecoming. *Side note...in case I forgot to mention, and you are wondering who are these young kids. Grady, Sachel, Maddie, Monkey Boy, and Bertha are Shannon's cousins, thus my cousins, thus Rylee's cousins. Their dad Ken (or better known as Chewie - you know like from Star Wars - Shannon was a kid when he started calling him that - it really fits) is Shannon's Uncle - his mother's youngest brother. They are really close in age - thus like brothers......

Back to Homecoming - it was so freaking crowded-OMG! They did however have some Fick-A-La (Ryleeism for Chick-fil-a) and Chicken Express - yum! Grady played so great - except for the BALL THAT HE DROPPED....and they won the first game of the season! Sachel cheered of course, and Maddie got to cheer the 3rd quarter since it was homecoming. Miss Suzanne was so sweet and made the girls little mum pins. I of course have to share my photos.....
