Auntie Lesa loves me.....

I totally forgot to tell you the wonderful story of how I am the best auntie ever!! So this is how it goes....and keep in mind my Jake Jake is probably sporting this face, we like to call it his mad face:

Jake: Can I have a donut?

My sister aka Mean Mommy: No.

Jake: You are a mean mommy. I don't love you. I want to go to Texas. I want to stay with Auntie Lesa because she loves me. Auntie Lesa would give me a donut.

That boy has some good taste - and you bet your donuts I would give you one! Just a few more weeks with that mean mommy - and I will meet you at the airport with a bag full of some powdered donuts, which you can eat in front of your 'mean mommy'. Gotta love those kids...they say the best things! Okay - I am off to catch up on my General Hospital....drool over that sexy Jason a little...man he's hot!

Is it Friday yet?

Doesn't it always seem like a 4 day work week last's forever? Ugh...there is excitement at the end of the tunnel though! Tomorrow these fabulous ladies will be coming to a theater near you in their new movie Sex And The City. You probably couldn't tell that I was a fan by the counter at the bottom of my blog...but I am a huge SATC fan! Even Rylee is a fan! Hold on...it's not that bad. We used to watch SATC every night at 10:00 on TBS - the edited version! So - we are both excited about the movie opening - and have plans to see it this weekend. I know..it's rated R - but she's going with me anyway!

So here is an up close look at the work of my 2 new border punches. They were super fun to use, but I totally goofed on the corners. Someone - you know who you are - has been instructed that it is their job to figure it out and teach me!! Ahem...scrappy friends, take a 2nd look at my layout. I know what your thinking....what's wrong with that? It's not her normal 'craptastic' layout. There's not a rhinstone, bling, or anything else in site. Just a nice tasteful pearl brad. I think I was overcome with fever when I created it. Don't worry - it's past, and I am thinking of ways to 'crap' it up as I type. I still have to add the title- but that is better left for the retreat next week. (Sorry Amy....I really am sorry that you can't go - for your sake, but not mine! LOL) It is a layout of Shannon and Rylee having room service in San Antonio. It was the first and only time that she has ever had it. The pictures are printed in a cranberry color - just because I though it would be cool to try. Gotta love scrapbookpictures.com!

And finally I will leave you some photos of Rylee's version of body art! See you at the movies - just don't buy the last tickets - because then you may find yourself tackled to the ground and held down by a fabulous pair of shoes while I extract the tickets from your hands. Don't come between me and my Sex And The City.

Mani & Pedi........

Since Shannon has taken off to Vegas for the weekend, Rylee and I had a girls day at New York Nails. We had fabulous spa pedicures. And Rylee ended up talking me into getting her a manicure - which I am glad I took the picture of since she has already chipped some of it off! I just want to go on record saying that a spa pedicure and an eyebrow wax are great things! I could definately do a pedicure all the time - the eyebrow wax every now and then. Afterwards we went and saw the new Narnia - Prince Caspien movie. It was really crowded - which I could certainly do without. I like the theater to be empty - but oh well. It was a good movie for a sequel. Once Shannon gets back we are going to be tortured with the new 'Dr. Jones' movie - ugh!

And for all my scrappy friends, a little surprise that I got in the mail today. This is a much anticipated tool in the online scrap world - it has been sold out for awhile now. I ordered it online and it came today. It is a border punch from Fiskars. I don't usually take to border punches - but this one really appeals to me because I think it can be versitile. You can use it in so many ways on a scrap page - in my humble opinion. Can't wait to put it to good use on the upcoming scrap retreat next month! Here is an example of what it looks like:

Well I am off to do some work around the house. I also got 27 Dresses in the mail today - Rylee and I have decided on a girls movie night tonight! I have to save all my pennies for CTMH's June promotion! LOL!

Most Improved Reader....

Today was awards at Rylee's school. She received the Most Improved Reader award for going from a level 2 to a level 18 this school year. It was the most levels acheived by any student. We were so proud and excited - because we were a little intimidated by the aggressive reading schedule the first grade had this year. This is Rylee with her teacher Mrs. Hurst.

Also today we all got new haircuts. Here are a couple of pictures of us with our new do's.

My latest shoe acquisition & tile pictures

So I found these super cute shoes at Target-they were a must have, so the immediately went in the basket. They had them in brown also - but they were not a cute brown. For anyone interested they were $19.99 - a bargain!

Now I have to tell you about the other pair of shoes that were a must and quickly went into the basket as well.

I have been stalking this brown pair for at least 1 and a 1/2 years. I love them...and yes I do stalk shoes. The last time I found these, I resisted, and then they were sold out. Thank goodness Target brought them back! They were $24.99 for anyone that is interested.

And for those folks that have recently listened to my whining, moaning, complaining, and etc. in regards to my 4 week tile installation - I leave you with pictures of the completed project.

NKOTB........I am so there

OMG....a dream come true! NKOTB coming in concert 10/19/08 at the AAC. I went to their concert in the 8th grade, and I cannot wait to go again. Mere is so there, cause she's a New Kid freak just like me! Who else? Just keep your hands off Joey - his blue eyes are hotter than ever and he's mine! Keep Hangin' Tough!

I have to mention my boys - my super cute nephews! Anyone that knows me, know I love my Jake Jake and Mikey! Too bad my sister is a butt and doesn't live anywhere near me so I could torture those cute boys on a daily basis! LOL! Can't wait to see you in June...here is a cute pic!

Proms and Parties....

So here are some pictures from last night before the Red Oak prom. Grady and Rachel looked great. I didn't get many pictures, as I had to leave and take Madison and her posse of girls somewhere. I hear that everyone behaved, and they had a great time.

Rylee had a great B-day party today at Chuck E Cheese. We had a great time - thanks to my friends Meredith and Amy for keeping me company and for having some laughs! By the way Amy - I am about to use my new stamps! LOL! Thanks to everyone that came! By the way mom- Rylee read her books the entire way home! I think they were a hit. Here are a few pictures.....



Just for you Mere..........

So this picture represents how old I am. When Rachel & Grady were babies, and before Madison was born I was just a teenager myself.....how the years fly by. Tomorrow Rachel and Grady are going to Prom...OMG! I will try to get over there and take some pictures to post before they head off in the limo - to do wild and crazy things. I am not too old to remember what I did at Prom.....LOL!
